Discuss the following questions with your Mini-Church:

Read together:
Micah 6:6-8  “With what shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before God on high? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old?
7  Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?”
8  He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

1. Understanding that Micah speaks on behalf of the Lord to His people before they are carried off into captivity, what is the issue at hand?
2. When it comes to our time, talent and treasure what does the Lord require?  Or does He?
3. What does the Lord want from us?
4. In your own words, what does it mean to:

  • Do justice?
  • Love kindness?
  • Walk humbly?

5. In our Bible reading this week in Psalm 145, David praises the Lord.  Beginning in 145:14 David speaks of the Lord’s generosity, what are some of the ways listed here that David says the Lord  is generous to us?
6.  How have you experienced GOD’s generosity in your life?   You might share how the Lord  saved you; times when you experienced the Lord’s forgiveness; times when you received  something really good that you did not deserve.
7.  When you consider the Lord’s generosity, what are ways He might now be calling you show  generosity toward someone else?
