Weddings

Thank you for considering Faith Church for your wedding ceremony! We would love to walk alongside you in preparing for your life-long commitment to your spouse. The wedding ceremony is an occasion to celebrate God’s love and to acknowledge Him as the source of love.

If you are interested in having your wedding at Faith Church or a Faith pastor officiate your wedding, please complete our Wedding and Pre-Marital form. Upon completion, our Marriage Ministry Director will be in touch to start the wedding planning process.

We have designed a process to prepare you for a life-long commitment to marriage. If you would like to have a Faith Church pastor officiate your wedding, you must be willing to agree and fulfill these initial requirements:

● At least one person must be a professing member of Faith Church or has attended a Faith Church site consistently for at least six months.

● Six months advance notification must be given before a wedding date can be assigned.

● Couples must meet at least three times with a pastor of Faith Church, prior to their wedding day.

● Couples will attend one full course of the Preparing for Marriage class during their engagement or meet with a mentor couple assigned to them.

Marriage services are led by one of Faith Church’s pastors, ordained pastors, or an elder. The Pastoral Staff will require an initial meeting with the bride and groom-to-be in order to confirm their wedding request. This will be the first of at least three meetings with the pastor, to discuss the couples relationship, future marriage and wedding content.

Your pastor will require you to complete an online inventory, a tool to help you and your spouse understand areas of strength and areas of potential growth in your marriage. It will be used in your pastoral counseling meetings.

Note: Elder approval is required for any non-Faith Church pastor to participate in or to perform a wedding ceremony at one of our locations.

Once the pastor has approved the wedding planning to move forward, the Lead Wedding Coordinator will then request to meet with the couple to review the Faith Church Wedding Handbook.

The couple will then be assigned to a Day-of Wedding Coordinator, who serves primarily as a pastoral assistant & church liaison, in addition to assisting with planning and coordinating details of the couple’s wedding service. The Wedding Coordinator will reach out approximately 4-6 months prior to the wedding date.
