Discuss the following questions with your Small Group:

  1. Share the emotions that you experience when you read Psalm 13.
  2. How do you feel about David’s raw honesty with God about his situation? Do you think it’s good to talk to God like this?  Why?  Why not?
  3. Why do you think David asks for what he does in vs. 3-4?
  4. How is vs. 5-6 possible when you read vs. 1-2? Can lament and rejoicing coexist? How?  Share a time you have experienced this.
